My Journey Into Art
Ever since I was a child, art has always captivated me. I remember building towering structures with Jenga blocks and gleefully tracing coloring book illustrations, fascinated by how art could convey concepts, feelings, and ideas that words often couldn't. An image's power to connect people and tell stories always drew me in, and I knew I wanted to be a part of that world. My time at Muhlenberg College truly solidified my path as an artist. During those years, I felt lost, trying to understand myself and my purpose. I needed a way to process my thoughts and emotions, as talking felt unhelpful. How can you discuss things you don't fully grasp or feel embarrassed about? That's when painting found me. It became my way to understand my inner self, to discover who I was, to aspire for more, and to strive for personal growth. What makes my art uniquely mine is my ability to display the journey to who I've become on canvas. Much like my art, I am vibrant and expressive, yet also deeply layered.

Connecting Through Creativity
My mission as an artist is to highlight the importance of mental well-being. I aim to connect people by creating art that reflects the highs and lows of life and emphasizes the continuous need to process these experiences. Everyone has individual experiences that underline universal truths, I am using my personal victories and struggles as a testament to those, like me, who seek unconventional ways to navigate life. I want you to know there's an artist whose work offers security and comfort, assuring you that you are not alone.

Inspiration for Vibrant Expression
My vibrant and expressive style draws inspiration from three artists: Ernie Barnes, Justin Bua, and Artemisia Gentileschi. In my opinion, they are artists who truly live through their art; you can learn so much about them and their stories through their work; they are one with their art and I aspire to be like them. In my art, I explore my personal life experiences and the lessons I've learned along the way. This covers a wide range of themes, from anger, depression, and trauma to childhood games and other joyful aspects of life. My work literally puts everything I've been through onto canvas.
